FOCAL POINT

Focal point is basically when you want an object to stand out the most. So the first thing you look at is that object. 

The reason why i chose this link is because it tells you all about vocal point, also it gives good detail on focal point pictures.
One of the examples is this picture. The flower is the focal point because its the first thing that you will look at.

The reason why i like this link is because it is nice and detailed and it really helps me to understand what composition is all about. The following rules should be learn and considered but not necessarily used in every photo of composition.

Assignment 3

Anna-Lou (Annie) Leibovitz, she was born in Waterbury, Connecticut on October 2, 1949. She is an American portrait photographer. Leibovitz is the third of six children. She is a third-generation American whose great-grandparents were Jewish immigrants from Central and Eastern Europe.When Leibovitz returned to the United States in 1970, she started her career as staff photographer, working for the just launched Rolling Stone magazine. In 1973, publisher Jann Wenner named Leibovitz chief photographer of Rolling Stone, a job she would hold for 10 years. Leibovitz worked for the magazine until 1983, and her intimate photographs of celebrities helped define the Rolling Stone look. While working for Rolling Stone, Leibovitz became more aware of the other magazines. Leibovits most probably took this picture in some sort of Disneyland area and made some edits to it to make it have a dusty effect in the background. Also the photography team helped by using a bright light in the background to make the picture not look so black and also not look so dull.

I think that this link is good because it helps me to understand what a long depth of field and what a short depth of field is. It also shows examples and tells you all about depths of field.

Assignment 3

Vee Speers is an Australian photographer based in Paris. After studying at the Queensland College of Art, Speers worked as a stills photographer for the ABC television. Since moving to France in the early 90’s, Speers has worked in fashion, photojournalism and is today an established fine-art photo-grapher. Her work has appeared in many prestigious publications, and has been exhibited in London, Paris, Japan, Italy, Tunisia and South America, as well as in her native country.
I think that this picture is set in a studio and she probably took the picture with a special type of camera and did some edits to it.

LIGHTING

The reason why i like this link is because it tells u all about lighting and everything about different angles, and that every angle you take he picture will get a different type of lighting

Assignment 1&2

Ralph John Perou was born in May 1970, known professionally as Perou, is a British fashion, portrait and music photographer. Perou was born in Newick, a small village in East Sussex, England. Perou has stated that he, ‘had a very happy, carefree childhood growing up in the countryside.

The context of a serious of image Perou has taken of the singer Katy Perry.

I think that Perou has taken this image in a studio with a digital camera. What i like about this picture is the way Perou angled the camera.
